The Work of Kevin O'Grady

Kevin O'Grady is well known for his gorgeous art glass wrist cuffs made of lampworked borosilicate (pyrex) glass. Kevin is the consummate artist, always exploring new techniques and new designs. These are his latest creations, based on sea themes. Each pendant starts out in a process similar to Kevin's cuffs, but then he slices and shapes each piece, fuses on a solid glass back, fire polishes it, and then attaches a pretty sterling silver bail with “industrial strength” epoxy, which he guarantees for the life of the piece. He also adds his special “maker's mark” to the back: a tiny millefiore with his name—that he made himself. These are simply stunning in person, and each one is slightly different and unique.
