Geodites

One of the most seductive aspects of being a rockhound is being able to crack open a plain-looking ball of stone and find a treasure of crystals lining the inside. Most geodes are too big for jewelry, but some are small enough, and this page offers some of the prettiest, including halves drilled for immediate stringing, as well as undrilled halves. The backs are polished if they are agate, and nicely smoothed if the matrix is another material–either way, the backs won't snag on clothing.
