Yes, this is fossilized wood, all natural, from Australia. The dark areas range from dark brown to black, and the light areas are a creamy white, some with just a whisper of pink. This material is relatively rare and has been relatively difficult for me to obtain, so I hope you will be pleased with it. All pieces have satin-finish backs.
