Morrisonite

Since I first started collecting gemstones, Morrisonite (aka Morrison Ranch Jasper) has been one of my enduring favorites. Its dreamlike imagery is richly colored and magical. Unfortunately, the area in Oregon's Owyhee Wilderness where this was mined has been closed to mechanized equipment, which makes this lovely stone much harder to come by.
